Yikes, it's been two months since we've updated the blog. Well, all for good reason... in the last two months we've been busy... settling into our new home, taking a vacation to South Carolina, and now getting over fall sicknesses! Not to mention we don't have internet hooked up at the new place yet...
Anyway, sorry for the delay! We hope you'll enjoy some highlights of the last few months here.
At the end of September we went to Edisto Beach, S. Carolina and then to Charleston for a total of 5 days. The original purpose was to attend Trevor's good friend Joey's wedding, but since neither of us had ever been to the South, we thought we'd turn it into a little mini vacation.
It was HOT, which we loved, although the humidity and bugs left something to be desired. Charleston is such a quaint, colorful city with so much history. The food is fried, fatty and darn good... and the people are extremely friendly! Mia quite liked all the attention from the Southern folks and learned to wave at everyone who so much as glanced her way. I learned a few things myself... what a "Shrimp Boil" is... that I LOVE sweet tea, and that I do not like mosquitoes.
Mia after a swim in the Atlantic ocean! She loved it although she looks a little frigid here.
The Inn we stayed at in Charleston... complete with air conditioning. Fabulous!Fun with daddy at a park in central Charleston.
Mommy and Mia after a carriage ride... trying to spark Mia's interest in horses!
On the beach in Edisto. Hmm, I think we have a beach girl!
Sandcastles with daddy and of course the classic eating sand picture. On a historic churches' steps
Our little trooper still smiling after a 16 hour plane endeavor home.
Now, back in Seattle getting settled in the new house! Mia loving more space to crawl around...

Since she couldn't ride a real monkey we gave her a little sampling on this bronze one.
