On the move!

Hard to believe--- but our just barely 6 month old is on the move! Yup, she's crawling. Over the past week she has gone from what I like to call "military crawling" (sliding on her belly and pulling herself along with her arms) to now, the satisfaction of being able to coordinate her arms and legs and actually move towards her toys! And of course other more interesting objects like dead bugs and strings she has found on the carpet. I have realized that sleep deprivation is no longer an excuse for not cleaning- I can't have my baby discovering these things on our carpet! Yikes! I guess the discipline of vacuuming and mopping the floors must begin again.

She also had her 6 month checkup just last Friday. She weighed 17 lbs 5 oz, and is 26 inches tall. That puts her in the 80% for weight and 60% for height. She continues to enjoy eating any and all solid foods and in fact, often prefers them over breastfeeding!

Here are several shots of her in action.

She still loves to be tickled.
Here is Mia during her attempt to sit up by herself. She can only do so with one arm way out to the side for balance, but she feels pretty proud.

The weekend before last we enjoyed a trip to Sisters, OR to visit all of the Sharp family. We enjoyed lots of good quality family time. Mia enjoyed meeting her aunties Tammy and Trudy for the first time too!
