And so it begins... the crazy holiday rush that is November and December. This time of year can feel disappointingly stressful and void if we schedule ourselves out too much.... and in doing this we totally miss the joy and peace that the season is all about.
Since we are already at our max for activities with 2 little ones at home Trevor and I decided upfront that we would not let the holidays get that way this year. We intentionally made our November/December calendar with room to breathe and so far that is contributing to a peaceful start to our holiday season. Not to mention gaining perspective from our almost 3 year old who is constantly OVERJOYED and AMAZED by the sights and sounds of Christmas approaching. It IS an encouragement and joy to share this season with her this year.
A few pictures of what we've been up to lately...
Our family at Thanksgiving up in Bellingham! Quite possibly the most relaxing day-of Thanksgiving preparations yet... way to go mom!

My mom and dad with all SEVEN grandkids! How many more will there be???? Time will tell...

I got some fun bonding time with our newest nephew Luke! He is a CHARACTER and total ham. What a doll! I got to share with him his first experience of feeding ducks. "Antie.... qack qack. Antie- qack qack!" After we fed the ducks he could not stop talking about them. SO precious!
In Classic Muljat style... playing make me laugh after eating a big meal.
Mia had so much fun dressing up silly with her cousins.
This fall we enrolled Mia in gymnastics class. She LOVED it! Last Monday was her final class. Here she is hangin' with her teammates. Fellow 2 year old gymnasts. Hah!
Even though we live extremely close to an awesome tree farm, this year we started a new tradition and went with some friends to a U-Cut Tree Farm. We had a blast! It was freezing but a lot of fun. Here we are with our tree... and yes, I CUT IT DOWN!
Pretty much just to say I did it.
