What a blessing to have close friends with children the same age! Michelle, Anya and I all had our 1st babies just over a year ago... each babe 9 weeks apart. The three of us had met only a few years prior to getting pregnant and had been getting to know each other through a women's bible study together... who would have thought we would have all ended up in such a similar place at the same time. It has been such a source of encouragement and fellowship to me. As a new mom it is so helpful to share ideas and frustrations with others going through the same stage... even though no baby is alike! (And all 3 of ours are as different as they could be).
It was so fun to watch Maddie, who is Michelle's daughter (and the youngest of the 3 babes) turn 1 a few weeks ago! Each of the girls has truly been assuming more and more the "toddler" role...
Happy 1st birthday to Madelyn Grace! For Maddie's birthday celebration we gathered to barbecue and enjoy the sun at Golden Gardens, a popular beach spot near Ballard. Always fun to watch a little one dive into their first taste of cake (though Madelyn is a seasoned cake eater).
